Evening lovely Bloggers. I hope you've had a lovely Saturday. We have missed that beautiful sunshine from yesterday. Today has been cold, grey and dismal in Yorkshire.
It's been one of those weeks when I seem to have been incredibly busy but now it's the weekend wondered what I've actually done. We just seem to be catching up with everyday stuff.
I did manage to make some cards with the beautiful stamps I won from Sheena Douglass so thought I'd share one of those with you tonight.
This is my favourite. She's so lovely and chubby and a joy to colour. I painted her with distress inks and applied a little bit of Broken China with cut and dry around the top for the sky. The blue matting was done with a promarker (I used the same colour to colour the card candy) and the pink with some paper from my new Polka Doodles CD.
I used one of the extra flower stamps in the set to emboss the background with the pink sparkly WOW powders from the Spring set which was also in the prize and lastly cut out the flowers in the jar as an embellishment.
One of the things I've been doing this week is trying to get to grips with the manual options on my camera. I always use it on automatic but after having another go at photographing the stars and moon the other night and having to google how to photo the moon as all I was getting was a blur, I realised I needed to learn more about shutter speeds and aperture openings. It's all still a bit like a foreign language but I'm getting there slowly.
Here is my best attempt at the moon, no longer a blur.
And this was the beautiful sky at sunrise out of DD's bedroom window yesterday morning.
I really must get some of my photos scrapbooked, I have so many I want to do. Oh well, they'll just have to be added to that never ending list of "to do" jobs.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Love this card Lisa - the little girl image is beautiful, and your soft colouring is perfection. The photos of the sky are amazing - really like the sunrise pic. We do get some fabulous sunsets from here too (I'm not up early enough to see the sunrise)!!!! Have a fab. Sunday - Love, Sylvia xxx
Hi Lisa, lovely card and I love this image, it reminds me of my childhood because we wore dresses just like that back then. You were really lucky to win this stamp. Despite my resolve to resist temptation and spend less I broke down when I saw Sheena demonstrating these on TV and ordered the collection - now eagerly awaiting delivery. Ah well, as I said to my DH after he checked the lottery numbers, here's to another week of poverty :) Regards, Elizabeth x
Gorgeous card Lisa and those photos are wonderful. You when you have learnt how to use your camera on manual, can you come over and teach me please? I always chicken out and let it decide for itself on auto!!! Have a lovely Sunday. Jill x
Stunning card, Lisa. They are beautiful images and you have chosen a gorgeous colour combo for them. I remember having a blue dress a lot like that with smoking on the front that my Aunt made for me. Your photos are also wonderful! I was thrilled when I got my long exposure right on that waterfall in Wales. It's good to have an experiment now and again.
What a very sweet card Lisa - that image is beautiful - I have a similar one where the little girl is picking shells on a beach and I love it.

Lovely card - just so beautiful! Great photo's also. Sounds like you are having the same dreary weather we are! Cheers Claire x

I love the mottled clouds on that photo Lisa. I must admit, I'm the same with my camera too. Really want to understand all the manual options better but never quite get around to it!
your card is really pretty and what a good idea to colour the card candy. I have loads of white ones too :-)
What a fabulous image and so beautifully used on this pretty card. Lovely!
Fab pic of the moon too - shutter speeds, apetures (sp?) - all going over my head haha!

A lovely card made with your new Sheena stamps. Can't wait to get my hands on that one - it's my favourite too.
Well done for getting such a great photo of the moon. Great one for the album.

Congratulations on your win Lisa. I watched Sheena's show too and thought how nice these stamps are. I'm rally hankering after some of those WOW powders too. As if I haven't got enough EPs to stock a shop already.
I love your pretty card and your colouring of the image is lovely. Look forward to seeing more.
Beautiful photos too. We had a couple of really clear nights at the full moon. It looked so huge you felt it was almost touchable and your photo is great. The sunrise one is gorgeous.
Hugs
