WOYWW 192 and Two Seasons in Two Days

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Another Wednesday whizzes round which must mean it's time for another desk snoop. If you want to join in the fun, then pop over to see the Desk Headmistress,  Julia, who keeps us all in order HERE.

Here's mine this week.




If you'd like a choccy help yourselves although there's not many left (they were a birthday present) . I also have a bag of Yorkshire Mixture on the go so if you'd prefer one of those!!

As you can probably tell I'm playing with my H20's for some DT work I've just finished and am just preparing a card to put some lovely new stamps on but I can't share it with you just yet.

On the floor waiting for attention is some fabric waiting to be turned into some Lillybo quilts. 


I can't wait to get started on them. Thanks for the tips and advice last week. I shall be dusting off my sadly neglected sewing machine later.

Before I get off to work I thought I'd just share with you two photos I took in the garden. I was so delighted to see this little Iris start to flower at the weekend and took a photo on Monday in the lovely sunshine.


This is exactly the same poor flower on Tuesday!!!!


Yes, we have snow again. Just when I thought Spring was round the corner it's turned bitingly cold again.

    It's amazing how hardy delicate flowers can be isn't it. More snow here yesterday - I was with my friend at her daughter's house waiting for news of said daughter's baby girl (by section) but had to leave as it was snowing thick and fast and settling quite thick. Of course the phone call came five minutes after I left and the snow had all gone in an hour.
    That oval die is lovely but is one of those that benefits from using baking paper next to the die.

    Would love a choccy but having a glass of wine so I will just stick to that for the moment. Minding my calories!!
    Gorgeous card and loooove the way your store your H2O's such a clever idea. Flowers are stunning with the snow on the ground. Can't believe the change in a week. Have a lovely week.

    Lol, that's the British weather for you....pretty little iris though!!
    Love the fabric as well, so many folk are sewing again, yay, it's good to see. And the quilts are all so different, I adore that :) I'll be starting a new one after I get back from Wales.

    I have not bought any H20's as yet but they are on my want list.
    Look at that beautiful iris such a shame you had more snow I do hope it survives.

    oh this snow is too much isn't it?? i fear our magnolia (my absolute favourite tree!) will not bloom this year - it's tried budding 3 times already!

    I really must get my H2o’s out again and try and use them a bit more, they are sad and neglected.
    Looks like there’ll be some pretty quilts heading Jo’s way very soon, so good luck with the sewing.

    Those iris are beautiful, and they still are in the snow but I hope the frost etc did not damage them.

    Those irises are gorgeous! I was wondering in the first photo if they were in a greenhouse but obviously not!!
    Great desk. I would not dare take a photo that close to mine or you could see the dust! Need to get my Hettie out!!

    Great stuff on your desk this week, Lisa. I love the colours of those H2O's - I've been thinking of getting some for a while. Amazing photos of the flower, before and after snow!

    Finally catching up with some desks and repaying visits as I've been out all day to the Hobbycrafts show in Manchester , spending again.

    Lots of patchwork fabric and I met up with Jozart's, Redanne and Lynne (doodlybirds) which was fun.
    Love your iris photos and those tiny ones are always very early. Also love the gold e,bossed iris in your later post - very arty and effective.

    late getting around this week... been so busy and then I got a last minute chance to get to the Manchester show today. Met up with a few WOYWWers too!
    Amazing pics of your snow irises and I spy some gorgeous fabric there too. Woo hoo!! look forward to the results but no pressure!
    I'll have a couple of Yorkshire mixture... even though I do like chocky I love the old fashioned sweeties.

    Oh, Lisa, your iris flowers are so amazing! The poor ladies with their dainty feet in the snow, so sad, but the color is just fab against the white of the snow!

    Hi Lisa, you're going to be busy with that fabric - I'm still trying to get to grips with the sewing machine from hell - it hates me! The iris look beautiful in the snow - such cheerful little flowers. I love the touch of orange against the blue - nature does colour composition so well :)) Elizabeth x #55
