Your Favourite Technique At The Stampman

Afternoon lovely Crafters. Another week gone and another month. I can't believe it's May already. What happened to April?????

I'm sitting here with the dreaded lurgy, trying desperately to get rid of it. We've got lots happening in the next couple of weeks and I CAN'T be ill, so cold begone!!!!


It's time for a new challenge over at The Stampman and this time Angela has asked us for our favourite technique. This was a hard one for me as I have so many and I'm afraid my DT project ended up being a bit of mish mash that I'm not entirely happy with but time ran out to do anything different.



I love this Paris stamp and was desperate to use it again and wanted to use some sprayed papers and then make my own background, which was on my desk in my WOYWW post. I've also just bought some Stampendous mica flakes and wanted to throw them in too so made the embossed panel at the side.  


I like all the separate bits but I'm not sure I should've thrown them all at the same card. Trouble was my mind was so thick with cold I'd lost the will so here it is in all it's glory.

    It's beautiful Lisa. Strikes me that in making as you call it a 'mish mash' you've got several of your favourite techniques on there.Well done.You didn't have to choose one and only one.

    A fabulous mix of techniques and supplies Lisa and the overall effect of the card is gorgeous. Just your fuzzy head won't let you see it lol. I love the stamp and background panel and the mica flakes are perfect.

    I think it is stunning Lisa. Almost as gorgeous as the card you sent me! Love the effect you have got with those flakes. will have to keep a look out for those at Doncaster in june x

    I'm so with you Lisa...my head is thumping, my nose is dripping and here was me thinking it was hayfever...I wish - miserable! Great card though, I love the colour and mix of textures. I am trying hard to do a card order at the mo and brain aint working so trying to be inspired....always great to visit blogland for that! Cheers Claire x

    Yep Lisa - I missed this one - sorry! I really like this Paris stamp, and the texture you've created is fabulous. Love the mica flakes and the layer of torn paper - everything works together beautifully.

    Wow, I didn't realise it was so long since I got chance to stop by Lisa. I hope by now your nasty cold has left you alone. The one our littlies gave me was a stinker and I've still got sinus problems from it over 2 months later! Hope your's doesn't last that long!

    It must be your cold that was clouding your vision because I love your card. The Paris image is beautiful and I love the muted colours you've used for the spray background. That embossed panel is gorgeous with the beautiful turquoise and the mica flakes.
