Tag It With Birds

How are you all doing in this icy weather. I hope there hasn't been any broken or damaged limbs. I don't know about the rest of the country but we couldn't step foot outside yesterday, even school was closed and that's unheard of. Every surface was just sheet ice and it stayed like that all day. We live on quite a steep hill and luckily one of our neighbours shouted a warning after they'd had to help numerous people after they'd fallen outside.

Being confined indoors was a perfect reason to craft so I got back into challenge mode and did my entry for Tuesday Taggers, which this week is a Bird Tag.

I used the free stamp from Craft Stamper this month and used colourbox chalk inks to colour the tag and stamp the bird. The swirls were from a foam set from QVC. I was quite dubious about the foam but they stamp really well and were incredibly good value for money.

Thanks for stopping by. I've heard it should be a balmy 6oC by Sunday, that sounds exciting, I may even be able to go and see what a mess my greenhouse is in, I've not been down there for weeks. It's probably just a mouldy mess-Lovely!!

  5. Hope you're managing ok Lisa - it sounds really miserable to be cooped up like that. The rain today has washed away a lot of the snow around here - I really do hope we get those temps at the w/e - we deserve a bit of a respite, don't we?

Love you bird tag - the colours are stunning

  6. Gorgeous tag, Lisa! I love the colours and that swirl is beautiful- a perfect background for the lovely craft stamper freebie! It was pretty icy here too yesterday, and Meg's school was shut again. I made it in to work, but had to hang on to the cars as I made my way down the car park!

  9. This tag is beautiful and that free stamp is gorgeous - must get mine into action. Glenda's stamp designs are always fantastic.

Take care with all that ice around - it's been dull and damp down our neck of the woods and very foggy in certain parts as I was driving this evening.

  12. Hi Lisa, utterly gorgeous tag, and I love the colours.

Same here yesterday with the ice. Our school was open, but two teachers couldn't get there, another fell over getting to her car, and various children also fell over, but fortunately no serious injuries. Roll on the weekend, when hopefully it's going to be a bit warmer.

  13. Lisa this is beautiful, I love the image and the colours....I agree with you about this weather, there has been snow in Edinburgh since the 19th December, and I have not been over the door, as my walking stick, just slides away, so I am going a bit stir crazy, but getting lots off time to play in my shed....LOL, thank you so much for joining us at Tuesday Taggers this week. 16. This tag is gorgeous. The swirl stamp is beautiful and I love the way you've stamped it in background and foreground.
I haven't watered in the greenhouse since before this cold weather started so if it stays mild over the weeekend will have to give them all a drink.

  17. Beautiful tag Lisa. I love that CS stamp from Glenda and the foam stamp swirls you've used make perfect partners. Lovely colours too.

We were sheet ice here on Wednesday too with numerous accidents both pedestrian and vehicular. I wasn't amongst them thank goodness.
