Adorable Willow

I popped onto the blog to post this tonight before I got back to crafting and thought I'd just have a little a little nosey at what everyone has been doing and an hour and a half later I still haven't posted anything, I've been so engrossed in all the lovely things out there in blogland. Oh dear. This cyberspace takes up far too much time but I love it!!!!

Right, time is precious now so I'll keep it brief. I just wanted to show you my first attempt at using my new Whiff of Joy stamp of Willow with the cookies. Colouring in isn't something I've done a lot of, well not since I was five, so it isn't up to all those expert ladies standards out there, but I am looking and taking notes so hopefully she'll improve.

I made this card for my lovely Sister In Law whose birthday it was last Friday. She's not a flowery person so I thought this would suit her. I stamped the image on a labels Nestie and coloured her with Whispers pens. The BPs were all from Artylicious CDs.

I have to be honest and say I'm not really into cute cards. I prefer flowers and swirls but these WOJ stamps have really caught my eye, they are just lovely. We also know a Willow who is growing into a very elegant young lady so these stamps also remind me of her.

Thank you as always for visiting and the wonderful comments you leave me and I hope your Monday has gone reasonably well.

  1. That is beautiful! I'm about to colour the same stamp for the 9 year old next door who loves baking, but also anything pink and frilly, so I guess mine will be a bit different!

  2. I didn't use to be a cute fan either until WOJ images caught my eye and I also love the Sarah Kay ones too.

I think you've made a wonderful job of colouring this pretty image. The whole card is lovely.

I know what you mean about blogging taking up so much time I am sure I spend more time blogging than crafting.
    I hope you've had a lovely day.

  7. Be careful. You can easily get sucked in. I resisted getting any cute stamps for ages but once I'd got one I just had to have more - although I haven't got this gorgeous one.Your colouring is great - nothing to apologise for. The whole card is just lovely.

  9. Hello Lisa

I have missed such a lots this last week or so, such wondeful projects. Had a look at them all and think the poppy tag is my favourite - well it's a flower.

Thanks for your kind messages, I am easing back into it, step at a time.
