Cake Anyone?

Just a quickie today. I've been on a Wedding theme lately so I thought I'd round it off by sharing the last Wedding cake I decorated back in May.

This lady asked for chocolate and cream with a love heart and crystal spray. She wanted the sitting bride and groom as well and my modelling skills are very limited so I bought these clay dough figures and then added a few personal touches like the grooms tie and the colour of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is going well so far. The forecast rain has not arrived here so for once we've been lucky with the weather and spent most of the weekend in the garden chopping down a conifer that had grown too large for our fairly small garden. I've now retreated inside for a rest and some gentle crafting!!

I can only hope it was a fruit cake as I don't like them and knowing that might stop my mouth watering!

  11. Thank you for stopping by Julie's Open Window and sharing your thoughts, Lisa...you have been with me since near the beginning. The time sure DOES go fast : )

I am in awe of cake decorating, especially UK decorators. So much so, I make a habit of purchasing UK magazines which feature such artistry, just so I can take it all in... LOVELY WORK INDEED!

  14. Wow Lisa, this is fantastic. I for one hope that at least one tier was a traditional fruit cake as I absolutely adore it.

My daughter has just set her wedding date for the 21st May 2011. I might just be dropping you a line!

    Hugs
